Lake Manyara is home to the world’s largest concentration of baboons and is famous for its tree-climbing lions. Day 2: Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater, then Serengeti
After an early breakfast, you’ll set off for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoy a game drive in this wildlife-rich sanctuary often referred to as Africa’s “Garden of Eden.” Expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, rhinos, and countless bird species. Following a picnic lunch by the crater lake, you’ll continue your journey to the Serengeti, where you’ll settle in for dinner and overnight under the vast starry skies. -
Day 3: Serengeti National Park to Karatu
Rise early for a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, one of the most iconic wildlife destinations in the world. The plains will come alive with predators on the hunt and massive herds of wildebeest and zebra. Your route back through the Serengeti offers more chances to spot animals you may have missed, including elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, and antelopes. By afternoon, you’ll drive back to Karatu for a relaxed evening at your lodge. -
Day 4: Karatu to Tarangire National Park and Return to Arusha
After breakfast, head toward Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. The Tarangire River acts as a magnet for wildlife during the dry season, drawing zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, and predators alike. You’ll enjoy a game drive through the scenic landscapes before returning to Arusha in the evening, marking the end of your unforgettable 4-day adventure.
