-
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel for the journey to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. With picnic lunch boxes, you’ll enjoy game drives en route and spend the day exploring the endless plains, home to abundant wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of wildebeests and zebras. Depending on the season, you may follow the Great Migration as it moves across the savannah. In the evening, you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your budget campsite inside the park. -
Day 2: Serengeti Game Drive and Transfer to Ngorongoro
Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti to catch predators returning from a night’s hunt and herbivores grazing in the soft morning light. After breakfast, you’ll drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at Olduvai Gorge—an important archaeological site where Drs. Louis and Mary Leakey made groundbreaking discoveries on early human history. Dinner and overnight will be at a campsite near the Ngorongoro Crater rim, offering sweeping views of this natural wonder. -
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. Known as Africa’s “Garden of Eden,” the crater is home to a dense population of wildlife, including wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, elephants, black rhinos, and an impressive array of predators such as lions, hyenas, and cheetahs. You’ll also visit Lake Magadi, famous for its flamingos and other birdlife. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Arusha, where you can be dropped off at your hotel or, at extra cost, at the airport.
